I've always appreciated Monet's style and freedom of expression. His impressionistic paintings, visually pleasing without a lot of detail, and "broken" brush strokes of pure color (not blended or shaded) is the essence of his work. He created a 'sensation' of a subject allowing the viewer freedom to decide the details.
Most of my digital paintings are done from a photography. But this painting was done without an image as a base. Guided by one of his many masterpieces I enjoyed creating 'Impressions of Monet' using a variety of brushes with both oil and acrylic style paints. Hope you enjoy it !
